This project involved an in-depth study of ceiling tile designs through observation, analysis, and transformation. Starting with five photographs of ceiling tiles from my college, I created detailed hand-drawn representations, capturing their patterns and structural nuances. These observations provided the basis for a deeper exploration of layering, composition, and hierarchy. The process showcased the elegance inherent in ceiling tile design, laying the groundwork for creative reinterpretation.

The next phase involved constructing a grayscale collage that abstracted and reimagined elements of the ceiling tiles into a cohesive composition. Building on this, I crafted an all-white 3D model that extended beyond the page, rising up to two inches to emphasize depth and layering. This model exemplifies fine detailing and showcases a sophisticated sense of hierarchy, achieving a minimalist yet striking aesthetic. The process not only honed my technical skills but also underscored the beauty of thoughtful design and spatial interplay.
